Four rules, nothing else
Every cell looks at its eight neighbours, and the whole board updates at once. That is the entire game — there is no scoring, no goal and no opponent.
- Underpopulation. A live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies.
- Survival. A live cell with two or three live neighbours lives on.
- Overcrowding. A live cell with more than three live neighbours dies.
- Reproduction. A dead cell with exactly three live neighbours comes alive.
The board wraps at the edges, so a glider that walks off the right side comes back on the left.

No accounts, no network
Conway runs entirely on your device. There is no sign-in, no analytics and nothing to collect, because the game is a few hundred lines of arithmetic and never needs to talk to a server.
