Conway

The Game of Life on every screen you own. Draw a pattern, press play, and let four rules do the rest.

Four rules, nothing else

Every cell looks at its eight neighbours, and the whole board updates at once. That is the entire game — there is no scoring, no goal and no opponent.

The board wraps at the edges, so a glider that walks off the right side comes back on the left.

Everywhere you are

Web

Nothing to install. Tap cells to draw, drop in a Gosper gun, scrub the speed.

iPhone & iPad

Drag a finger to paint cells, pinch-free full-screen board, native SwiftUI.

Mac

The same board in a resizable window, with a keyboard space bar for play and pause.

No accounts, no network

Conway runs entirely on your device. There is no sign-in, no analytics and nothing to collect, because the game is a few hundred lines of arithmetic and never needs to talk to a server.

Install it anywhere.

Toroid runs on every platform. On Windows, Linux and Android it installs straight from the browser — no store, no download, no runtime. It gets a real window, its own icon, and keeps working offline.

iPhone & iPad

A native app, not a wrapped web page.

Mac

Native, universal binary. Runs on Apple silicon and Intel.

Windows

Open the web app in Edge or Chrome, then Install Toroid from the address bar. It lands in the Start Menu like any other app.

Open & install →

Android

Open the web app in Chrome, then Add to Home screen. Full screen, no browser chrome, works offline.

Open & install →

Linux

Same as Windows — install the web app from Chrome or Chromium and it runs in its own window.
